Low voltage

Fixed or withdrawable? Selecting low voltage distribution panels

IEC 61439 panels come in fixed and withdrawable designs. The right choice depends on how often loads change and whether maintenance can interrupt supply.

Low voltage distribution switchboard panels

Low voltage distribution panels ensure the safe, controlled and efficient delivery of power to end users. Built to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2, they can reach rated currents up to 6300 A and short-circuit withstand of 100 kA for 1 s, with IP protection from IP30 to IP65.

Fixed-type panels

Modules are permanently installed. The compact, simple design and low initial investment make fixed panels ideal for facilities with stable load configurations — but any modification requires a system shutdown.

Withdrawable-type panels

Each outgoing unit can be operated independently, so maintenance, testing or replacement can be carried out without shutting down the whole system. Mechanical and electrical interlocks ensure safety. This is the preferred design for data centers, hospitals and other critical environments.

Points to specify

  • Rated current and short-circuit withstand at the busbar
  • Required IP class for the installation room
  • Switching devices: MCCBs, ACBs, contactors and protection relays
  • Metering, energy analysers and signalling
  • Remote monitoring protocols such as Modbus or Profibus

Every panel we supply is engineered specifically for the project. Send us your load list and single-line diagram to receive a tailored proposal.
